Mobile market follows no specific definition. It can broadly be defined as the usage of the mobile medium as a means of marketing communication. It can be also considered to be the distribution of any kind of promotional or advertising messages through wireless networks to customers. If we need to be more specific we can refer to mobile marketing as the usage of interactive wireless media to provide customers with time and location sensitive, personalized information that generate value to all stakeholders by promoting goods, services and ideas. Mobile marketing can be primarily done in two ways- one, which is done via mobile devices, for e.g.- cell phones and the second one which is a bit more traditional , is meant to describe mobile marketing as well as mobile marketing news in a moving fashion - for example - technology road shows or moving billboards
Social media marketing refers to devoting efforts on creating content which may attract attention as well as encourage readers to share the content formulated with their social networks.
Viral marketing refers to marketing techniques that use pre existing social networks to produce increased brand awareness and to achieve other marketing objectives like product sales. The process is analogous to the spread of viruses or computer viruses. Viral marketing forms are mostly like video clips, interactive flash games, advergames, e-books and brand able software, images, or text messages.
Mobile Commerce, also known as M-Commerce or mCommerce trends, is the ability to conduct commerce using a mobile device, such as a mobile phone, a Personal digital assistantPDA, a smartphone, or other emerging mobile equipment such as dashtop mobile devices. It is primarily a transaction, involving the transfer of ownership or rights to use goods and services, which is initiated and/or completed by using mobile access to computer-mediated networks with the help of an electronic device.
Near field communication, or NFC, is a set of short-range wireless technologies, typically requiring a distance of 4 cm or less. NFC operates at 13.56 MHz and at rates ranging from 106 kbit/s to 848 kbit/s. NFC tags always involves an initiator and a target; the initiator actively generates an RF field that can power a passive target.
Mobile payment or known also as Mobile wallet is an alternative payment method. Instead of paying with cash, cheque or credit cards, a consumer can use a mobile phone to pay for a wide range of services and digital or hard goods. The mobile payment platforms are- Premium SMS based transactional payments, Direct Mobile Billing, Mobile web payments (WAP)

A QR code (short for Quick Response) is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code), readable by dedicated QR barcode readers and camera phones. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded can be text, URL or other data.
