Digital TV transmission has been used by most networks since 2009 and because of the clarity of the videos and the crispness of the sound; many people are upgrading their TV into the flat LED and LCD which are digital TVs both. Those who cannot afford to do the upgrades can just use a converter so their old analog TVs can also receive the digital signal.
However, just like any new technology, there are still some things which need to be improved on and one of them is the signal. The digital signal can be disrupted by a number of things like moving vehicles and harsh weather conditions.
Moving vehicles like cars and trucks, trains and airplanes can affect the digital TV signal. In fact, the shadows and reflections from these moving vehicles can also cause the signal disruption which can look like the picture breaking up or disappear. If this is a constant problem, it would be a good idea to change the location of the antenna, preferable on higher ground which is also more stable. A good antenna to be recommended is the outdoor antenna rather than an indoor type. Outdoor antennas may also include rotor or directional antennas which could improve on the reception. For those areas where the trains pass nearby enough to shake the apartment it would be next to impossible to correct this. If this is the case, it would be better to use a cable service or the more expensive satellite service.
Harsh weather conditions can also affect the digital TV reception like storms and high winds. In fact, if the antenna is of the low quality type a cloudy day can mean disruption. Make sure that if the area of the home has a lot of trees surrounding it, to make sure the leaves do not fall on the antenna for these could disrupt the signal. It is recommended to use good quality antenna which is actually meant for outdoor use and is made from materials which can withstand the elements.
Now enjoy watching TV with the cheapest alternative to cable. The Ditigenne Insteekkaart, i.e is the receiver for digital TV that is now into the side of your flat screen television with high image quality and use of simple remote control of your LCD or Plasma TV operation. Also you can enjoy wireless TV along with Digitenne Zenders.
