I had a perfect first pregnancy I have experienced none of the usual aches and pains of pregnancy and I thought, naively though, that ultimately it was not rocket science! Quite the contrary, I have 9 months of good memories and I even feel the whirlwind of hormones during pregnancy has contributed to my well-being during this period. I was full of energy, always very excited and very enthusiastic.

I returned this printer for my second pregnancy ... because I found it with the acid reflux that can really ruin your days and nights. But I have some advice for you to overcome and enjoy this happy time!

Reflux

Reflux can cause different symptoms. had suffered a bit without being pregnant and I had often after a bit too watered evenings or dinner too heavy. All night then I was coughing without being able to sleep again.

During this pregnancy, I started the same way as having a cough of irritation that prevented me from falling asleep, I felt a little bit of heartburn and especially I started having very bad throat. As I no longer drink since I know I'm pregnant I did not think to reflux.

In fact, it is an inflammation of the esophagus (the tube that connects the mouth to the stomach) caused by a rise in stomach acid. All this is due to a malfunction of the sphincter which is a kind of valve intended to prevent the rise of stomach contents.. In case of reflux, it lets the juices acids and the wall of the esophagus is not designed to withstand such acidity. Du coup, il s'irrite. Suddenly, he gets irritated.

During pregnancy, it is very common to suffer from acid reflux even if you never had one because the fetus presses on the stomach, which promotes acid reflux.

Symptoms

It's really hard to think of acid reflux when it was because the symptoms are varied and the disease is generally poorly diagnosed. I had to talk to my doctor several times before he found the solution!

In me it was a cough and repeated irritation, and painful sore throat, other friends told me about severe pain in the chest (one of them even believed to have a attack!).

How would you get rid?

That I guess the part that most interests you! It should certainly not despair, there are solutions and because you are pregnant you need not suffer martyrdom for 9 months!

To begin, take good habits:

  • Never eat just before lying down (at least two hours before). Ditto, do not drink water before bed.

  • Do not make too heavy meal. Split your meals and avoid fatty and spicy meals. I do not recommend chocolate just before bed (not tested and approved).

  • sleep leaning on big cushions and not completely flat.

  • Never run out of Maalox or Gaviscon on you or near your bed. It acts like a cork and quickly calms irritation and more importantly, it is not incompatible with pregnancy (of course, follow the dosage)

If these tips were not enough, do not hesitate to consult or talk to your Doctor or midwife.. Other drugs may be taken in the most difficult cases. But do not suffer in silence!
