Online Whiteboard Software is a great way to communicate and share valuable information to groups of people all at the same time. Online whiteboards work the same as offline whiteboards but hold more value as location is no longer an issue.
Offline whiteboard meetings have been used for many years. The gathering of a selection of individuals collected together to share information in the form of a presentation using a whiteboard and marker pen. These meetings can really move fast as the person doing the presentation can really work on the fly. All ideas can be scribbled down to really get the message across. Questions can be answered and examples can be drawn, this makes for a very engaging and interactive experience for all attendees. These kind of meetings work well, and go right back to early days as it is extremely low cost with minimal effort to setup and conduct. You may have been to one of these meetings yourself, so you can agree how effective they are.
The idea of online whiteboard software is to replicate that of an offline meeting. Technology is so advanced now that it comes packed with some great features and tools to enable a fantastic experience.
When this idea first came about they had to look at what it is that people can do in these offline meetings, and how they can build tools which give the same results. Also the idea of being able to connect from anywhere in the world that you can get online, is simply mind boggling. So the idea was to have a whiteboard on a page which can be connected to by multiple attendees and the moderator have access to a host of drawing tools.
They have gone up and beyond all expectations and continue to drive forward as and when technology allow it. The obvious and primary most used tool is simply the draw tool. This gives the moderator the ability to draw freehand directly onto the whiteboard screen. All attendees can see and hear as the moderator conducts his meeting.
Other tools which can be used are the write tool. Its as simple as typing a message in a word editor, except all attendees will be watching. Other tools you will also find useful is that of shapes. A shape tool will easily create shapes such as squares, circles, triangles, and more. This again can all be done directly to the whiteboard screen while the moderator is talking. They also include tools such as Pie charts, and graphs. Simply toggle on the graph tool and choose from a selection, then simply drop your graph or pie into the whiteboard screen.
You will find many other tools including the ability to drop images directly to the screen.
As you can see. The current technology allows us to do great things. You can see from this article how useful online whiteboard software is. Remember the fact that this enables global communication with up to hundreds of attendees. All tools and functions can be easily toggled on and off by the moderator at the click of a mouse.
Give it a go for yourself. You will find plenty of providers online, and some which offer a free trial.
I use and endorse GVOs Online Whiteboard Software. I have tried and tested many providers and packages but GVO conference package has the bestWhiteboard Online. Try this for true flexibility and value with a free trial.
