Have you ever noticed when you start collecting something, you get more and more of it, you know, like animal figurines: (frogs, pigs, or cows, anyone?) And, when you collect a particular item your friends and family love to contribute to your collections. I used to collect tea cups. I started with one or two cups and I finally had to stop, as they were taking over my home!

Without realizing it we are all collectors of a sort; some of us collect for fun, some of us collect unintentionally (clutter) and others collect with a purpose (stocks, bonds, houses, etc.). Here's a thought, instead of collecting lemons, frogs, or wooden apples, how about collecting something that when you have more of it, it moves your life forward, like $100.00 bills. Sound interesting? If so, you're in for a treat; this week I want to share a little known feng shui secret...

This Week: The Collection Connection

Decide what it is you're going to begin collecting.

Start your collection, for example: if you're going to collect $100.00 bills, then go to the bank and get one for your collection.

Announce to yourself and to others what you're collecting. This step is very important, as it creates a void that now needs to be filled.

Create a special place just for your collection such as a beautiful, ornate box to hold all those $100.00 bills that are going to be showing up, or a fabulous, leather folder to keep "you're in the money" bank deposit slips, or how about a sleek new Rolodex to capture all the new business cards and contacts you're going to collect.

Now sit back and enjoy as your new collection grows in size, and yes, you're still allowed to collect butterflies.
