Fans of the highly popular award-winning program will tell you that Navy NCIS:Naval Criminal Investigative Service Season 7 or NCIS as it is now known packs just as much great action into this season as it does all the rest. A spin-off of the equally popular series JAG this gem first premiered in September of 2003 integrated into two JAG episodes as fans began to learn about the unique characters that would become a part of their television watching rituals. Seen in numerous countries around the world the show is still going strong

The series was created by the imagination of Donald P. Bellisario who also serves as the executive producer. This popular series is also produced side-by-side with actor Mark Harmon, producer David Bellisario, Gary Glesberg, Mark Horowitz, and Avery C. Drewe. While the program ran from 2003 to 2006 through the well-known production company Paramount Television. It would later move to CBS Television Studios where it presently remains.

The premise of the program is that of a fictional story of characters who work in the Major Crimes Response Team within the American Navy in the city of Washington, D. C. While the program is filled with action, drama and mystery the characters give you just enough comedy throughout an hour-long program to enjoy a little giggling now and again. Though set in Washington, DC it is actually filmed in California.

Actor Mark Harmon plays the lead role in this popular series. His character Leroy Jethro Gibbs was a gunnery Sgt. Early on in his career as they explain in the series and would step in the position of being in charge of the team. You learn that this complex character loses his wife and daughter at the hands of a drug cartel before joining the team and he is fueled by this loss as he works tirelessly with his team to take down other criminals after having taken down those responsible for the loss of his wife and daughter before coming to the NCIS. He is a no-nonsense kind of character that is firm with his employees however, he shows his kind side to them and is highly respected by the entire team.

Actor Michael Weatherly portrays Anthony DiNozzo who is known to flirt with all the women in his path. The homicide detective has somewhat of a juvenile sense of humor which comes across on the screen in numerous comedic moments that many enjoy throughout an episode. Despite his somewhat immature behavior on occasion he is a strong member within the team and proves himself time and time again as he assists in capturing criminals.

The very cute and corky Abby Sciuto is brought to life by actress Pauley Perrette. Abby is a forensic specialist for the team and helps crack the case with a variety of skills. She is known for her pigtails and her unique Gothic style clothing. Her quirkiness flows over into her office space as you will often see unique toys and trinkets through the room that speak to her personality. Early on in the series you will notice special agent Timothy McGee portrayed by Sean Murray. With a degree in computer forensics and biomedical engineering he is the teams technical strength and works closely alongside Abby frequently combining their unique talents to help solve cases.

Pretty much every episode at one point or another will see a victim on the table of the medical examiner Dr. Donald Millard also known as "Ducky". David McCallum plays the intelligent character who is often seen rambling to his deceased victims. Often speaking to them as though they were speaking back to him in conversation. When not working with a body he offers expertise to the team with his psychological training.

There are many other noteworthy main cast characters you will notice in each episode of Navy NCIS:Naval Criminal Investigative Service Season 7 among them include, Cote de Pablo who is Ziva David, the former liaison to the NCIS who would later become a part of their team. Brian Dietzen, the young medical examiner's assistant who assist's Dr. Millard both in the field and in the morgue itself. Rocky Carroll stepped into the character of Leon Vance late into the series. His character is that of the director of the team. He and Mark Harmon's character Gibbs often clash in their beliefs of how things should be run. As the program continues forward it continues to show its ability to maintain a strong fan base as the many characters share their lives and relationships throughout the series.
