For people who suffer from acid reflux, there are some foods and beverages should be avoided, even if they take drugs to stop the problem. Many of the foods to avoid acid reflux include dairy products, breads, dairy products and spicy or fried foods. Dairy products and grains
Avoid ice cream can be hard for some, but if you have just a bit on occasion you may be able to handle it. If ice cream is a must for you, then experiment with how much you can take before symptoms of acid reflux set in. You should also avoid sour cream and regular cottage cheese. Macaroni and cheese should be avoided as well.
Beverages
Many people will be upset to know that wine and liquor as well as coffee and tea should not be consumed by those with acid reflux. When it comes to coffee and tea, it doesn't matter if it is regular or decaf, they should be completely avoided.
Avoiding these foods or consuming them in small amounts can go a long ways in helping you manage your acid reflux and painful symptoms that go along with it.
