Amway Scam: Does it really exist?

There are so many conflicting views about whether or not Amway is a scam. Maybe you are considering joining Amway or you already have and you've now decided to do a little research to ensure that it is a legitimate business. In this article you will discover whether or not Amway is a scam and why people tend to believe that it is.

Amway-The Good

Amway is probably one of the oldest network marketing companies. It's been around for a really long time, since 1959 to be exact. Since then the company has continued to grow tremendously, doing business in over 80 countries. It was started by Van Andel and Richard DeVos in Ada, Michigan as a small business offering cleaning products. From those humble beginnings the company has gone on to produce up to $8 billion dollars yearly. Amway is a stable business, it would be impossible for a company that big that has been around for 50 years to be a scam.

Amway- The Bad

Unfortunately Amway has been accused of being a pyramid scam. However they were able to retain their credibility and all charges were dismissed after further investigation was conducted by the FTC. Despite this investigation proving that the company is not a scam the Amway scam stigma is still attached to the company. However this not because the products they provide are bad or defective or even from the company itself. The income opportunity that Amway provides individuals is what makes people feel as though the company is a scam. In case you are not aware, Amway's products are promoted through their independent business owners also referred to as IBO's and this is where things can get really ugly and take a turn for the worst.

Amway- The Ugly

Just like any other network marketing company Amway teaches their reps to make a list of friends and family to share the business opportunity with. There family and friends is what you would consider their warm market and trying to promote their business opportunity to them is the biggest mistake they could possibly make. This is because after they have already run through their list of family and friends they get stuck. They have absolutely no idea how to move on with their business and they become frustrated and discouraged.

The End Result:

After struggling to make their business grow reps choose to just throw in the towel and call it quits. In most cases they usually quit in 90 days or less, empty handed without making a real profit. This makes them feel as though they were scammed because they got their hopes up thinking they would make a lot of money only to find out that they would have to endure so many struggles.

Another reason why people may feel Amway is a scam is because they may have gotten the bait and switch from their up-line. It is definitely not good to feel like you've been tricked or scammed after investing your money in something you put your trust in. That is why it is very important to choose the right person who is a strong leader to align yourself with when looking to join a company like Amway.

It's clear that there is no Amway Scam . However, there will always be rumors circulating suggesting that the Amway Scam exists. But if you do not know how to build a business like Amway you will fail miserably. To learn exactly how to build a profitable home based business visit BizOppMillionaire.com
