Nothing in life can be achieved without commitment. The most complex tasks and the easiest ones all require your commitment, without which even accomplishing the simplest of tasks becomes impossible. Living a committed life means leading a life in which you resolve to be completely dedicated to each and every task that you take up, it means that you must be committed to yourself, you must be committed in your relationships and you must be committed to work. If you live a committed life there can be no stopping you from being successful in all areas of life.
Living a committed life is not easy; it requires a lot of hard work and plenty of will power. But then success never comes easily to anyone, and if you are not willing to give it your all you cannot expect to be successful. Look at any successful person, celebrities, sport stars, businessmen or just someone successful in your family. None of these people would have been successful if they were not committed to your dreams.
The first and the most essential step in living a committed life is to be committed to yourself. You need to first know yourself, know what your goals are, your strengths and weaknesses and you need to have full faith in yourself. If you do not believe in yourself, if you do not love yourself enough you cannot expect anybody else to love or respect you. Only those who care enough for themselves would be able to stay focused enough to make a difference in their life.
To be committed to life you must:
· Know your goals clearly. You cannot commit to a goal that you have doubts about. Know what you want to achieve in life and make clear cut goals for yourself.
· Be prepared to work hard, being committed will mean a lot of long hours and a lot of work so you must be prepared for it.
· Once you know what your goals are do not let anyone or anything change your mind about it. You know your goals and you know what you want to achieve, so stay true to yourself.
· Do not let any distractions come in the way. There will be several situations where you might get slowed down and side tracked, do not waste a lot of time. You must recover fast and get back to work.
· Expect high results from yourself and do not settle for anything less than perfect.
· Motivate yourself; do not expect to get motivation from external sources. You alone are responsible for your performance and you on your own are responsible to keep yourself motivated.
It takes some time to get used to being totally committed to everything that you do in life. By making it a part of your personality, by bringing commitment in to every aspect of your life you will make it a habit, and it is this habit alone which will get you success in each of your endeavor.
