The DeNox system is the process of deoxidizing NOx to the Nitrogen on the surface of the catalyst. The DeNOx system helps plants produce far cleaner air emissions while restoring almost full operation of their catalyst at far less expense than reinstallation.

The DeNOx system, Selective Catalytic Reduction or SCR uses Ammonia and Urea as the reductants, and then NOx becomes reduced to Nitrogen and water at lower temperatures due to the SCR catalyst, producing a high reduction rate of 90%.

DeNOx system procedures are often used overseas in areas like Japan and Korea to save money, produce much cleaner air, and maintain high levels of efficiency, usually working with the corporation NANO International who manufactures products and equipment for DeNOx system and technology methods.

There are three main types using DeNOx system technology. One is of course SCR. In this DeNOx system, NH3 is injected into the catalyst to deoxidize and producing a removal rate of 70-90%. Though the initial costs of this DeNOx system method are highest, so are the results and the overall costs of operation are only moderate in average. One thing to take in account with this particular type of DeNOx system is the space needed for installation, removal, and replacement. It's generally used on mid-size to larger plant facilities due to cost and the space needed. It is the most effective and preferred DeNox system.

Another DeNOx system of technology is known as SNCR, which injects a UREA/NH3 solution for NOx reduction without the catalyst, though the results are only about 25-50% removal. This DeNOx system method has some of the lowest costs of investment but the highest of most costs during operation and the results aren't nearly as great as SCR.

The third DeNOx system choice is Low NOx Burner, a combustion method to lower the levels of oxygen during combustion and the heat of the flame to produce a removal rate of 30-50%. Investment costs for this DeNOx system choice are moderate and operation costs are quite low. This DeNOx system is more suitable for smaller plants.

A DeNOx system of catalyst regeneration is intended to save plant money of just immediately replacement. Instead, by choosing a DeNOx system, you can extend the life of the current catalyst up to 80,000 hours, and the cost is still less than half the average costs of buying a brand new one. So every time a plant chooses DeNOx system technology for catalyst regeneration first, they are gaining almost all of its original activity capacity and money instead of replacing every single time. A DeNOx system can be installed in most plants.
