Whether you're opening a restaurant in the near future or you already own and operate a restaurant it is imperative that you do some regular marketing. Marketing will help to draw in more and more customers so that you can bring in the business you long for. Getting the customers to your establishment is easy but it's up to you and your operation to keep them coming back.
-
Create a Website. If you don't already have a website dedicated to your restaurant you are missing out on a lot of potential traffic. With things like Facebook and other social media sites, people are spending more time than ever online. The website itself doesn't have to be anything fancy it just needs to give your customers some basic information including where you're located, business hours and a brief history of your company.
-
Utilize Social Media Websites. The two main sites you should focus on are Facebook and Twitter. It's easy to set up an account and you can create another web presence online. People can choose to "Like" your Facebook page which will allow them to receive updates on their feed whenever one is posted. With Twitter, you can send out tweets promoting special offers just for your followers.
-
Signage. You want the largest, clearest sign that you can use. Signs work very well to show people exactly where you're located. A sign that contains your company logo or even just your company name is better than no sign at all. The bigger it is the better because it will allow people to see it from blocks away - or perhaps from the nearest highway.
-
Superb Customer Service. When it comes to marketing, you can't forget about customer service. This is a way of marketing your business directly to customers who have come to dine in your restaurant. If they have a great experience with customer service they will be much more likely to recommend your restaurant to others. Bad customer service coupled with great tasting food is not enough. You should provide superb customer service and great tasting food to be in business for the long term.
-
Run Promotions Regularly. Having special sales or offers from time to time will help to lure in more customers. You can market your promotions via signs and flyers and by using the internet.
If you market your restaurant well and regularly, you'll find that the business will remain steady and even improve from time to time. However, to make sure you're marketing efforts are worthwhile, be sure to provide the best customer service possible. This will keep your customers coming back time and time again.
