Planning on visiting Vancouver BC Canada and wondering what there is for you and your family to do while in the City? Well, there's so much to see and do while visiting this beautiful City, it's hard to even begin where to start. I'm going to try to give you a little run down on what our family has done in the past and continue to enjoy even today.

Of course summertime, like many northern cities, is peak season and the City comes alive with activities and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. One of the great things about the west coast of Canada is the mild climate it offers year - round, making for a perfect holiday destination any time year. With its mountain peaks nearby, if you and your family love skiing, than Vancouver and World re-known Whistler BC are perfect for you.

What To Do In Vancouver - More Than You Can Imagine!

Stanley Park:

The first thing that immediately comes to mind of things to do is a visit to Stanley Park. This Canadian National Historic Site situated in downtown Vancouver, consists of 1,000 acres of recreational park for everyone to enjoy. It is recognized as one of the great urban parks of the world. Whether you spend an hour or a full day, you and your family are sure to enjoy the many attractions it has to offer. Walk or rent a bike and cycle the world re- known 'Seawall'. Visit the Vancouver Aquarium, take a Horse & Carriage Ride or go for a swim in the outdoor pool with the Pacific Ocean steps away. There's so much to see and do, with many planned activities in the summer taking place.

Hop On - Hop Off Sightseeing Bus:

Like most cities around the globe, you can hop aboard an open vintage double - decker bus and see the sights of Vancouver. Our family have always enjoyed this popular sightseeing bus on our travels. As well, Harbour Center houses the famous 'Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant', shops, food fair and much more. It's easy find and centrally located.

Capilano Suspension Bridge:

A great tourist attraction since 1889 is the breathtaking Capilano Suspension Bridge. This picturesque foot bridge is 450 feet long and rises 230 feet above the ground. Walk amongst high evergreens in Vancouver's North Shore Capilano Canyon, taking in British Columbia's natural scenery. There are seven suspension bridges to cross during your walk with some reaching 100 feet high. Additions to this attraction include suspended stairs, walkways and bridges to add to the excitement and thrill of your visit to the area.

Harbour Cruises and Events:

Take the family on a regularly scheduled sightseeing Harbour Cruise. Enjoy a city tour from the water. You can also enjoy a nightly Sunset Dinner Cruises, lunch cruises and other special events. Cruise onboard one of three vessels including an authentic paddle wheeler!
