Avoid strenuous physical activity for a few days after surgery. Some clinics also recommend wearing soft protective eye masks especially at night to protect from accidental rubbing or bumping. Avoid showering after surgery to avoid water splashing into the eyes. Also, keep soap away from the eyes. Swimming is likewise contraindicated around six to eight weeks following the procedure.
