Bonnie Brae real estate area is located in the southeast area of Denver. The winding tree-lined streets and friendly neighbors make this one of Denver’s most treasured communities. Developed in the 1940s, there are plenty of the old architectural builds that still remain in the area like the stone pillars in the entrance. It was thanks to George Olinger that this community has been desired by many home buyers.
The houses range from the original smaller but unique houses, to multi-million dollar custom built homes. Some of the houses here are inspired by the Art Moderne style most famous in the 1940s and 1950s. Home prices have been strong in Bonnie Brae, a testament to the desirability of living near the center of a major metropolitan city, with recreational areas like the Washington Park which is only a five minute bike ride from the neighborhood, restaurants and shopping all within a few miles.
For those who will transfer in this quaint neighborhood, they hold an annual picnic to gather the community together and just be one big family. This where they socialize and make new friends and get to enjoy everyone’s company. The dedicated members of the council are always finding ways to make their community better and happy.
However, very recently, the community has been urging the to do some scrap and rebuilding because some of the old homes are getting broken down and they are becoming targets for the builders either to demolish the place and rebuild a new one. This scheme has been used to upgrade the community’s image towards modernization. However, many of the old Art Moderne houses still remain but are being upgraded to modern safety standards. There are some Bonnie Brae homes for sale too for those who are interested.
Although just recently, the Bonnie Brae real estate market is having some declines in sales and rents, there are still some competitive edge to the houses prices in the neighborhood. So just call your Bonnie Brae real estate agent and find out more about the wonderful living conditions in this quaint little town.
The Bonnie Brae real estate area remains one of Denver’s premier neighborhoods. Its unique charm has not been affected by fluctuating market figures and is still a great place to live.
