Wherever we look at social media, Hydrocodone addiction is always there. Addiction to Suboxone is a difficult lesson to master. It may take 6 days or several months to become physically dependent on Opiates. When the physical dependence of opiates is prevalent the addiction is rampant.
The tolerance starts to increase when this occurs, needing more of the Pain Medication to stay from getting sick. People start feeling the withdrawal effect such as vomitting and sweating, or needing more in order to get high. Brothers grieve at seeing someone they spend time with go through the awful withdrawals that are part of Fentanyl addiction.
Grandparents never see the addiction coming, nor do we grow up thinking I want to be a Percocet addict when I am older. It may start after getting into a car accident or an operation in which one is prescribed opiates afterwards. People from all walks of life can fall under the addiction spell.
Are things at home starting to disappear? Does your wife appear to be constantly having flu like symptoms? When you have coworkers over, do you notice that prescription pills in the dwelling start to disappear? If so, then opiate addiction has touched your life.
Those addicted to Vicodin, eventually, are taking opiates to not feel the full effect of the withdrawals. They become unable to attend to their responsibilities. The bad thing about withdrawals from opiates is that it will not kill you. The good thing is that it will not kill you. This cycle of using Drugs to be able to function or attend to responsibilities can go on for months, years or even decades and is a very pricey habit.
There are other theories for the treatment of opiate addiction besides methadone. Only part of the addiction is physical, the other part being a cognitive piece. Drug use changes the makeup of the brain and how it operates. Methadone enables the coworker to have their opiate receptors filled from the use of other opiates such as Percocet.
The loved one is now able to attend to their responsibilities since they also are having little withdrawal symptoms. People of the community take methadone at clinics daily and it has a long lasting effect. It is a medication that builds up in the system daily. It can mean the difference between legal issues and having quite a normal and prolific life. Thus when loved ones suffer from Hydrocodone addictions, Methadone is able to protect them from themselves.
