Growing from humble beginnings with its opening in August of 1984, Iris Window Coverings is now proud to enter its 28th season of business as the largest window shade dealer in the Pacific Northwest, as well as one of the most prestigious in the nation.
Founded by Richard Benton to serve Seattle-area architectural, commercial and interior design trades, Iris Window Coverings has since expanded its scope of operations to all areas of the window covering industry, including lighting control interface. Iris provides design services, engineered solutions, installation and repairs, in addition to a host of sustainable solutions (LEED, Daylight Harvesting, etc.).
"We're so honored and grateful to be in business for this long," said Benton. "We pride ourselves in providing the finest one-on-one service anywhere, regardless of project size, and this growth is a testament to our way of doing business. We never imagined we'd become what we've become, and we're thrilled to continue to expand our services to offer even more for everyone."
Well known for its expertise in motorized and automated window coverings, as well as for its skill in accomplishing difficult projects, Iris Window Coverings has provided its services all over the nation, as well as Canada and Germany. In 2007, the company opened a second location in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
