It’s better to have only a single dessert or sugary dish than consuming many sweet and sugar containing dishes. By limiting the amount of sweets you consume each day, you limit blood sugar fluctuations. These fluctuations cause minerals such as calcium and phosphorous to be withdrawn from your teeth and bones. Natural sugar from sweetness of fruits can also lead to tooth decay but not as severe as that from processed sugars.
Everyone knows that sugar is not good for our teeth, but do we know anything about fructose syrup from corn? High fructose corn syrup actually causes more intense blood fructose fluctuations than white sugar. More intense blood fructose fluctuations cause more minerals to be pulled from your teeth and bones. So from now on whenever you are going to eat anything sweet you should keep in mind that it should not be sweetened with any synthetic substance; it is better to use cane sugar or fruit. Always try to stay away from mineral-depleting high fructose corn syrup.

Author Ramiel Nagel states, "Cultures around the world with the lowest rates of cavities do not avoid natural animal fats like butter." He also found that butter from grassfed cows consists of cavity-preventing vitamins which are not available in our diet, called Activator X." In addition, having more butter during the holidays will reduce blood sugar fluctuations from sweet foods. Butter in turn provides your body with the healthy vitamin-rich fats it needs to prevent cavities.
Calcium builds strong teeth and bones. One highly absorbable form of calcium comes from dairy because cows and goats have a diet requiring grass and plants. Pasteurization cleans up vitamin C content from milk; therefore, go for raw and fresh dairy products. There are many high grade raw milk cheeses made in the United States and Europe. These cheeses contain a huge quantity of minerals such as calcium and phosphorus which maintain the health of our teeth as well as of our bones. For those who do not have access to raw dairy, high quality yogurt makes a tasty calcium-rich treat.
Flossing may be far more effective in limiting cavities than brushing. Brushing can spread dental plaque around and push plaque into the gum line. Flossing with dental tape (a type of floss that is wider than normal floss) helps clean plaque from between the teeth. So here you can see that you can do tooth decay treatments yourself.
