Ever done something for a person? What would you feel if the person did not only ignore the effort and help that we had you made but just as simply forgot the simple words that we need to hear? What a loss! In this faced-paced world, that simple statement is often bypassed.
Thank you is not just a programmed statement when an effort was made or something was given. Those words are meant to express gratitude and appreciation. One person had done something nice. Don’t they deserve something that would guarantee that the thing they had was meaningful?
Saying the magic words is great. But what about saying it in a different way and different means?
So, if you want to make it more meaningful, there are various options that you can do.
There are still plenty of ways to say thank you. Some of the more obvious choices are:
• Say the actual two words, Thank You, whenever someone does something for you.
• Send a card. Paper cards convey that you took the time, energy, and expense of the card and the stamp and going out to the mailbox.
• Send an e-card. These are great for quick Thanks, and take little time or energy to send.
• Give a gift. It doesn't have to be large, but make it somewhat personal (unless it's business). Simple gifts could be a mug, a cup, a keychain or a towel. Be creative. Play up your ideas!
• Make something: cakes, cookies, crafts if you're good at it. This area requires creativity and patience. So the next time you want to express your appreciation, think of the most unique way to do it!
The only thing that is important in saying thank you is meaning what you say. As the effort is only relevant when you actually feel what you want to say.
