Super Mario 3D Land delivers classic Mario gaming to the Nintendo 3DS, and will be the only platform video game to be displayed in genuine 3D. Gamers may now experience the three-dimensional sensation of depth and distance of the gaming environment while not having to don special eyeglasses. The 3D graphics is going to make it easier for gamers to gauge level of depth as well as distances while playing this game.
This game delivers a mixture of two dimensional platforming (side-scrolling) and three dimensional platforming (open-world) gaming components. The plot of Super Mario 3D Land is this: a princess has been abducted by the evil Bowser, and Mario must commence a mission in order to locate and save the princess.

GAME PLAY
Like vintage Mario games, any level in the game is completed as soon as Mario gets to the flag pole, and this must be accomplished before the time-limit expires. If Mario takes damage from his foes or any kind of hazard encountered, he gets smaller. If Mario takes further damage whilst in a shrunken state, a life is lost. Through the entire journey Mario can collect a variety of power-ups (items), which grants Mario special magical powers as well as skills in order to get past level obstacles and eliminate his foes.
This game will include quite a few classic items seen in previous Mario games, that can be picked up to provide power-ups, for example the Fire Flower, the Starman and the Super Mushroom. New power-ups throughout this game include:
Tanooki Suit - Turns Mario into Tanooki Mario, so that he can attack his enemies using his raccoon-like tail or float down gently from high points in a level.
Boomerang Power Up - Converts Mario into Boomerang Mario, and he is able to throw boomerangs to wipe out his foes.
Propeller Box - A power-up that gives Mario the capability to reach the high spots in a level.
Super Mario 3D Land also includes a facility whereby specific power-ups are only offered only when you are battling finishing a level. These power-ups are:
The Invincibility Leaf - Is only available once a player loses five lives, and this item makes Mario invincible.
The P-Wing - Is only available once a player dies 10 times, and this item sends Mario straight to the ending point of the level.
In Super Mario 3D Land, Mario have known in addition to completely new abilities, and you will be able to execute a rolling somersault assault upon all foes and can also sprint using a dash move. Completely new adversaries in Super Mario 3D Land consist of the Piranha Plant that obscures your view by spitting out ink, Goombas that strike making use of their tails in addition to Goombas stacked on top of one another.
