Insomnia is a sleep problem, and that is actually a symptom and not a disease. Many things can cause insomnia and in general it relates to psychiatric, although many are caused by the condition or physical illness, and because of extrinsic factors such as noise, air temperature, using materials which contain central nervous system stimulant, and etc. Insomnia can be defined as a situation where someone is having a hard time sleeping or cannot sleep well. Almost everyone has experienced this sleep problem. You can even find more extreme says 30-50% of the population experiencing insomnia. Insomnia can affect all age groups. Nevertheless, the incidence of insomnia increases with age. This can be a result of stress that usually occurs in older people.

Sleep in a comfortable environment. At bedtime, turn off the lights, turn off the things which cause noise, make sure you are comfortable with the temperature of your sleeping room. Insure your clock out of sight because it could make you anxious.

Do not get a nap, by reason of naps can reduce the quality of your night's sleep.

Do regular relaxation activities. Listening to music, practicing breathing, meditation and etc will help you to slow the processes that occur in the body so that your body becomes more relaxed. This situation will give it easier you to sleep.

Regular exercise can help people suffering from insomnia. Exercise should be done in the morning and not for several minutes before you go to bed. With exercise, your health becomes more optimal, and you will find that the body can fight stress that comes with better.

Try to pray before bedtime, because this could be to be a means of meditation for you and help you to relax.

If you've done all of the above but still experiencing insomnia, try to discuss with your physician to find the causes of insomnia that you experienced and for further treatment.
