Arguments over friendly games happen all the time. Especially when there is adult beverages involved. It gets loud and, before you know it, you’ve lost even more track of what was going on. That’s where the cornhole scoretower comes into play. Every time you may be able to agree on the amount of points scored during an inning then you can manually change the score on the tower. It gets everyone around the game involved because they know who to root for. Everybody roots for the underdog. It also adds a level of suspense to the game like an expiring shot clock in basketball.
A cornhole scoretower can save your outdoor party. Not only will it let you avoid fist fights between drinking jocks, it will let you add flavor to the game. I recommend getting a friend to dress up really silly. Put him in short-shorts, give him some aviator glasses, a whistle, wrist band, high socks and tell him beforehand to grow out a mustache. Put him in an elevated chair near the tower. I’d recommend something like a director’s chair in the movies. Give him the authority to officiate the games. Let him blow his whistle to make rulings and deal out reprimands that involve drinking beer.
It is important to get the elevated beer cozy along with the elevated cornhole scoretower. It stands right next the score keeper and can be used by anyone changing the score. Implement a rule that says the loser of the inning has to manually raise the score of the other team and while raising the score must also drink the beer from the cozy. Perhaps you could implement a rule where teams pick a number on the board to be a trap. When the other team hits that number directly they must imbibe on adult beverages.
The device doesn’t always save you. During the course of a game you can get lost in your beer and your conversation and completely forget to change the score. You’ll probably bring up the fact that you forget during the next round, and that’s when the argument happens. Of course, you could go the serious route and use the thing to help score a real tournament. You could delight in watching your opponent tremble as he checks the posted score before a shot. However you use it, a cornhole scoretower is a must for any gathering.
A cornhole scoretower can save your outdoor party. Not only will it let you avoid fist fights between drinking jocks, it will let you add flavor to the game.
