Many people’s have asked this question, how many hours of sleep do I need to rejuvenate and restore my energy for my mind and body? The answer is depending on the individual because everyone is different and if you feel refresh when you wake up in the next morning and not sleepy till the bed time, then you are obviously getting enough sleep.
One of the many factors that affect the amount of sleep that a person required is the person age, the older the person is, the lesser amount of sleep that the person require. Besides that, the others factors are the sleep quality of the person, activities that the person has done during the day, the amount of exercise the person get, genetic makeup of the person and whether the person still growing will affect the sleep quantity of the person require.
Seven to eight hours of sleeping a day is the optimum amount of sleep for most adults. However, some peoples may just need as few as four hours of sleep and some peoples may need as many as ten hours of sleep per day. For an example, one of the most famous scientists in 20th century, Albert Einstein, he required ten hours of sleep per day plus taking nap on top of that. Therefore, the amount of sleep that require by every individual is different.
Good quality of sleep can help a person to restore his or her concentration, alertness and muscular energy because the amounts of energy that the person has will link with his or her amount of sleep. However, some peoples still feel fatigued even after long hours of sleeping. It is because the person does not get a restorative sleep.
The reasons of not getting sufficient restorative and good quality sleep could be due to tension, stress, anxiety, having a lot of mental and physical exertion during close to bed time, which are bad sleep habits. A lot of peoples also have these kinds of worrying thoughts, which they think if they do not have at least eight hours of sleep per night, they will feel sleepy and tire on the next day.
Therefore, you have to find a way to get a good quality and restorative sleep without any internal and external interruption as mentioned on the above. By having a restorative and good quality sleep can lead your brain wave from alpha and theta sleep stages enter into the deeper stages of sleep in delta level, which is the most vital part of sleep for regeneration, healing and recuperation. With this, you will wake up feeling refresh, rejuvenate and able to restore your energy every day.
If those persons do not have sufficient of restorative and good quality sleep, accident and injuries may happen on them due to falling asleep and loss of concentration while working to operate dangerous machine and driving. So, those persons who are suffering from not sleeping well or insomnia, they need to seek for a reliable and long term effective insomnia treatment to enable them sleep well at night.
In conclusion, the sleep quantity that a person requires is different from individual to individual. So, no straight forward answer for how many hours of sleep that a person require. But we have to know that insomnia and fatigued were caused by many factors, such as lack of exercise, lack of exposure to sun light, too much of stress and so on.
