An article entitled "Should Christians Do YOGA?", published by Sword of Light and Truth Ministries, Inc. and signed by Anne Feaster moved me to publish this article in defense of Yoga. What is Yoga? ‘Yoga’ means ‘Union with God’ which, by the way, is also the meaning of the word ‘Religion’. ‘Religion’ derives from the Latin ‘re-ligare’ which means ‘to tie back’ that which is severed to its Source. That’s what Religion is supposed to do.

I guess I feel that it is about time to invite people who have not done so – I mean, have not been actively ‘re-united with the Divine spark within them’ in a true, dynamic experience – to penetrate the words of Jesus in depth. I invite others to give Jesus’ words the Power that He gave them and that they have, and search for the Experience that He is talking about until they find it, and then ask humbly to be graced with It instead of establishing their Agnostic understanding of things as ‘it’. Christ Himself said, ‘if your Eye is still that of the self, oh how dark it is!’

This is where I come in. Whereas in the past I would have stayed shyly silent in front of established blindness, this time I have decided to speak up for Truth with the Sword of Light that God’s Grace has given me as a True Experience of Life, because someone to whom her spiritual growth is of paramount importance is knocking at my door to do so and to that I am obliged. These are not times to give Agnostic interpretations and their blind tirades room to cause more harm than they already have.

About the Baptism of Fire, or being immersed in the Holy Spirit and Fire. . . Have you ever wondered how immense that Experience must have been? And still is? Have you ever desired to have it? Please, read the words of the Christ about these Mysteries with a clean mind and with profundity. Raise your minds beyond the limits of our limited intellects when you enter into the words of the Master of Life for everything having to do with Jesus is Transcendent in the most powerful sense of the word.

Matthew 3: 11 (John the Baptist speaking)

  1. ‘I indeed, immerse you in Water in order for Reformation; but He who is COMING after me, He is more powerful than I, Whose sandals I am not worthy to carry; He will immerse you in Holy Spirit and Fire.’

Luke 17:20, 21

  1. And when He was demanded by the Pharisees, when the Kingdom of God would come,

  2. He answered them and said, ‘The Kingdom of God cometh not with observation; neither shall they say, Lo is Here! Or, lo is there! For, behold the Kingdom of God is within you.’

Let those who have ears, hear.

As we can see, Jesus knew that not everyone could hear what He was saying. It is clear that the Agnostic impossibility to hear the spirit behind the words of Wisdom, even when it was the Christ Himself that spoke them is not new, it has always existed.

Saint John expressed it with all the power that words have at the beginning of his Gospel. He says:

‘In the beginning was the Word,

And the Word was with God,

And the Word was God.

The same was in Principle with God.

All things were made by Him; and without Him there was not anything made that was made.

In Him was Life; and the life was the Light of man.

And the Light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Jesus explained it to His disciples when they asked Him why He spoke in parables to the multitudes. In His answer we see clearly that there were Mysteries being revealed to them, but not to all, that made a difference in the way people Comprehended His words.

He said:

‘Because the Mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven are revealed to you, but they are not revealed to them.’

In other words, the Agnostic’s, Understanding has not yet been awakened because they have not been revealed the Mysteries that I have revealed to you; thus I speak to them in parables so they can understand, for they do not Comprehend otherwise.

Isaiah prophesized the lack of comprehension of the High Mysteries when spoken and gave us also the reason why some people choose to Not Know, he said:

‘You will listen and listen and, but not Understand

see and see again, but not perceive,

For the heart of this nation has grown coarse,

their ears are dull of hearing, and they have shut their eyes,

for fear they should see with their eyes,

hear with their ears,

Understand with their hearts

And be converted,

And be healed by Me.’

Now, you would think that after more than two hundred centuries this situation would have changed, but it has not as you can see by Miss Feaster’s article. The prophecy of Isaiah still stands, the Agnosticism that makes the mind dull and claims to know when it doesn’t still goes unabridged and maybe it is now stronger than ever.

The words of the Master of Love about leading others astray are strong. He says: ‘Obstacles are sure to come, but alas for the one who provides them! It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone put round his neck than that he should lead astray a single one of these innocent ones. Watch yourselves!’

Here is a Key Verse that has been slaughtered, literally robbed of its Powerful meaning by the translators’ Agnostic understanding of things.

Matthew 4: 3-4

  1. Then, the tempter approaching Him said: ‘If thou be the Son of God command these stone to become Loaves.’

  2. But He answered: ‘Man does not live from bread alone, but by the Word of God.’

In the original version of the Gospels, ‘word’ is singular and with capital W, it is the ‘Word’ that started Life that Jesus is speaking of. The Word that Saint John tells us Jesus is. What Jesus is telling the Devil here is that Man lives and is sustained by the Word of Power that He, the Christ Is – the Power that created the Universe, and not by bread alone! Something that is Paramount for our Transformation and quite different from what is being read in Churches today! What has ended up being read in the common, vulgar translations after the Vatican II updates, and is being read in most Churches is: ‘man lives by every word that comes out of the mouth of God!’!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does this mean? People hearing voices? Or reading books in which it is said that God is speaking? Indeed, the Christ’s words have been turned into nothing because of the vulgar, Agnostic understanding of things. This translation is robbing people of the spirit of the Christ’s words, the Power of Life has been changed in this verse to ‘words coming out of the mouth of a particularized version of God! Changing completely the sentence as Jesus said it and turning it into nothing. You tell me what this is and what it means!

Matthew 4:17

  1. From that moment Jesus began preaching: ‘Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.’

Now, where did Jesus say that the Kingdom of Heaven Is? Jesus said and not only once, but every time that He mentioned His Kingdom, that the Kingdom of Heaven is within us. Therefore, He is saying to the people. ‘Repent, for I am He who can reveal that which is Divine within you.’

Thus, we clearly see that He is offering to put people in touch with the Divine within them. In other words, He is there to reveal the Greatest Mystery and to re-unite them with God within them. This is the aim of any True Religion and indeed also the aim of all Yoga, including Hatha Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga, and Kundalini Yoga which all culminate in Sat-Yoga, the word Sat meaning ‘the Highest.’

Matthew 6:22

  1. The Light of the body is the Eye; therefore if your Eye be made single your whole body shall be made full of Light.’

Have you people ever asked themselves, What is Jesus saying? Where is that Eye that He’s talking about located in my body?’ (Take a look at the drawing above because it is marked with the quote from Jesus). Has it been made single?

Consider that Jesus is saying that this Eye is the source of Light for the human body, and He wasn’t saying just words – that’s for sure! So, He is pointing something out to all of us. Let those who have eyes see, and those who have ears hear. Then, the next step should be to say: ‘Where can I find this Light? Please show me where it is! Tell me how can I make my Eye be single, for I want my body to be full of Light!’

In the next paragraph Jesus says: ‘But if your Eye be of darkness. Oh! How dark it is!’ (If you check out the etymology of the word ‘darkness’, its derivatives are ‘evil’ ‘selfishness’ ‘self-centeredness’ and in our days indeed ‘malignant egophrenia’). So, be honest and if your Eye has not been made single, acknowledge it for in front of Truth no one can lie. ‘To Be or not to be, that is the Question’ Shakespeare well said.

Have you experienced the waters that spring out of our entrails and spring into everlasting Life? Or the ‘rushing of the waters’ that Saint John talks about? The Yogis call that experience the ‘drinking of Divine Nectar, or Soma, the nectar of the Gods’ as the Greeks also called it. Believe me, all of that is physiological and spiritually Real. And as Christine as it can Be. It comes from the Word Itself. And the Word is God, and the Word was made flesh, and His name is Jesus. And He lives and can never be killed again; only in man’s mind – and that is being done and well done. So, guard your minds from faulty information even when it is well-meant.

This is not a book; it is just an article. Before I go I will say that I was born into the Roman Catholic Apostolic Faith and grew up learning about the Catholic Faith in very wonderful Catholic Schools. I love Jesus, have the Holy Eucharist in a Traditional Church Mass that I attend every Sunday and follow His teachings everyday of my life as best as I can. I have had a near death experience in which I was taught by Jesus without words or thought about Life, Love and Eternal Life more that I had learned throughout my life. I have found the Essence of all religions and will not disrespect any of them. I feel it is my obligation to stand up for Truth and the Light of Life that the Christ gave us and this is the reason why I’m writing this article.

Now that I have done so, I am at peace and will say au revoir, not good bye, with the words of Lord Krishna (‘Krishna’ means ‘Christ’ in Sanskrit) who defines the word Yoga better than the Webster’s Dictionary.

These are Lord Krishna’s words; He says:

‘With upright body, head, and neck, which rest still and move not; with inner gaze which is not restless, but rests still between the eyebrows; With soul in Peace, and all fear gone, and strong in the vow of Holiness, let him rest with mind in harmony, his soul on Me, his God Supreme.

The Yogi who, lord of his mind, ever prays in this harmony of soul, attains the peace of Nirvana, the Peace supreme that is in Me.

Yoga is a harmony. Not for him who eats too much, or for him who eats too little; not for him who sleeps too little, or for him who sleeps too much.

A harmony in eating and resting, in sleeping and keeping awake; a perfection in whatever one does. This is the Yoga that give Peace from all pain.

When the mind of the Yogi is in harmony and finds rest in the Spirit within, all restless desires gone, then he is Yukta, one in God.

Then his soul is a lamp whole Light is ready, for it burns in a shelter where no winds come.’

I close with the words of Lord Jesus the Christ, who said: ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega. He who has been with you since the beginning of times, I am the beginning and the End.’

Be in His Peace.
