A healthy diet is a diet that assists in improving and then maintaining good health. A healthy diet is important for decreasing risk of many chronic diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, chronic heart diseases, myocardial infarction and cancer. A healthy diet comprises of taking appropriate quantity of all the necessary nutrients with necessary amount of water. All such requirements can be fulfilled from many foods, so all such foods come under the definition of a healthy diet. Moreover, a healthy diet should have equilibrium of carbohydrates, fats, proteins and many essential vitamins with calories to get energy and fulfill the requirement of human beings. A healthy diet should not only provide the essential nutrients of food, but also prevent weight gain and don't induce toxicity.
Healthy Eating Plan:
In order to have a healthy diet, a healthy eating plan should be followed. An appropriately designed healthy eating plan will serve you with all the essential nutrients required and make your body used to of the diet having goal of calorie intake, which prevents over weighting.
Most of the healthy eating plan has the following ingredients:
Fruits
Fresh vegetables
Whole grains
Beans and nuts
All such food items will give you the required nutrients your body demands for.
Calories and weight loss:
For the reduction of weight, in addition to follow a healthy eating plan, you should also reduce calories intake with increased physical activities. On average, 500 to 1000 calories has to be cut down from a diet to reduce weight of one to two pounds in a week. Mostly, a diet with almost 1000 to 1200 calories taken in a day will prove effective in losing weight in females. This average value differs for most of the males, who require about 1200 to 1600 calories daily for secure weight loss. This value can also be used as standard for a female, who has extensive strenuous physical activity and a body weight of 165 or more pounds. If after eating 1600 calories a day, your diet is not satisfied then you can increase calories of 100 each day. Care should be followed while putting together a healthy eating plan. A diet with a very low level of calories, i.e. eight hundred calories or less, will have disastrous effects on your body. You should not have such a diet plan unless you are under the observation of a doctor.

A healthy eating plan should also have meal stuff which detoxifies many harmful chemicals and improve body functioning by removing toxins from your body. These toxins are developed in the body by the stressed condition and dehydration. Such diet plans comprise of strict usage of raw vegetables, fruits, fresh juices, and extensive water drinking.
