With our modern, run-with-the-time lifestyle, you seldom have time to eat the right foods in the right proportions. You try to avoid bingeing, but end up cheating on your diet plans because it is way too monotonous. Well, what if you found out that you could binge on snacks packed with 100% vital nutrients, diet friendly, good for you foods? Here's presenting the healthy snack list.
A healthy snack is one which contains a variety of foods from each of the five food groups. A little bit of protein, a couple of vitamins, carbohydrates -which you can avoid if you choose; some minerals and a tiny binge to indulge your sweet tooth.
Including all these food varieties in your healthy snack list will guarantee you a nutritious, well balanced and interesting meal that provides adequate nutrition while keeping health problems like diabetes, cancer, hypertension, cholesterol and cardiovascular diseases at bay.
So, what can you include in your perfect healthy snack list to shed a few pounds while also indulging your taste buds? While you may think achieving this is tricky, it is quite simple really.
Let's start with fruits
Make fruits your best friends. Include them in your daily healthy snack plans. Mix a fruit of your choice with a cereal of your choice. As far as possible, eat the whole fruit rather than juices or pulps. A bowl of mixed fruit doubles as a health snack and a bowl of dessert. Add nuts to the cereals or binge on them separately if you please.
Veggies and more
If you are looking for a snack on the run, it is a good idea to have carrots and celery sticks. If you crave soups, there are a host of vegetables to choose from and make yourself a nutritious soup. You can cheat with salad veggies on whole grain breads when you crave a sandwich. Also don't forget to include oats - they are great sources of belly fat reducers.
Proteins: Including proteins in your healthy snack list is as vital as including any other foods. You can include small amounts of soya - stir fried with veggies or you could use soya spreads, and gain your daily dose of healthy, comfortable food-stuff.
The miscellaneous: Americans have a special place for mayonnaise and peanut butter in their hearts. You could buy a jar of soya mayonnaise (which tastes equally appetizing) and spread it on your whole wheat bread. If you want to make it even more interesting, just add some of your favorite salads in the mayo mix and you have a healthy sandwich.
To complete your healthy snack list, another great binge is crackers packed with vital nutrients. You can have as many as 3 healthy crackers a day. You have a variety of crackers to choose from. There are oats, barley, wheat crackers, corn and many other flavors.
The healthy snack list is your passport to detoxify all the acids building up in the body and cleanse your system by eating right. Just like any other snack you could binge on these without the repercussions of going on a guilt trip or keeping count of the calories intake or the number of calories you need to burn. Hope you enjoy 'Eating your way to a healthy lifestyle'.
