'Serious flaws' in UK immigration law system, Law Society cautions
Bad immigration law choices are having a "devastating" effect on families and businesses and undermining the rule of law, solicitors have cautioned. It stated it had already introduced a national awareness campaign and was keeping regular monthly meetings with EU citizens' representatives "to understand their needs and are planning a range of support for vulnerable groups".
EU nationals who have been in the country for five years due to the end of 2020 may have the ability to apply for settled status - meaning they are free to continue living and doing work in the UK.
