The trending Google search phrase of the day is: "Is pure hemp extract the same as cbd?" Other common questions are "What is the difference between CBD oil and hemp oil?" and, "Does hemp oil contain pure CBD oil?"
The answer is no, they are two completely different things. However, it is very common for people to think otherwise. When shopping for CBD many people think they are getting a "deal" when they are looking for CBD oil and see 3000 milligrams pure hemp extract for a fraction of the cost and end up buying it. The truth is, this is NOT a deal.
Hemp extract doesn’t actually contain CBD, except for Phyto-Cannabinoid Rich (PCR) hemp oil, which does.
We encourage you to read below the differences between the two. CBD oil and hemp oil are unique products that benefit our health but do so in different ways.
The two come from different parts of the cannabis plant and therefore have different uses and benefits. However, it’s easy to confuse the two and brands do not make it any easier for customers to tell the difference, sometimes on purpose – sometimes not. Sadly, some label their products with just that in mind to trick consumers, which is why it is important to always read the ingredients list on the back of any product you may be interested in.
Here what you need to know when looking at the ingredients:
Do NOT let marketing tactics fool you. Unfortunately, there are a number of brands cynically cashing in on the popularity and cannabis trend by making false claims that their products contain CBD when they actually contain none. Some brands are calling hemp seed oil cannabis sativa oil, which is actually quite deceiving.
To make sure marketers aren’t taking advantage of you, be sure to always check the product label**. If you’re looking to benefit from CBD make sure you are purchasing a product that clearly states it contains CBD in the ingredients, not just on the front label! (that’s where they fool you). We encourage you to read the labels, ask all of the questions, know the facts, and make sure you know what you are buying before you purchase.
What To Look For When Shopping For Pure CBD Oils
When looking for CBD keep your eyes out for the following terms: CBD, hemp CBD, and phytocannabinoid-rich (PCR) hemp oil (hence the confusions). Phytocannabinoid-rich hemp oil DOES indeed contain CBD, which is why it’s important to do your research and ask questions!
When looking for hemp oil keep your eyes out for the following terms: hemp seed oil, cannabis sativa (hemp) seed oil, virgin hemp oil, and hemp oil. None of which contain CBD.
Since both are wellness ingredients, you won’t be harmed if you accidentally purchase or use one instead of the other; but you will not receive the benefits you are looking for in one if you are looking to benefit from the other.
Organic Kana uses both phytocannabinoid-rich hemp oil AND hemp seed oil, giving you the both of best worlds in an organic and pure product.
Organic Kana was created in 2018 to help people obtain all-natural CBD Oil. Our CBD Oil is extracted from all organic industrial hemp in GMP Certified and FDA Registered facilities.
