If you are new to the network marketing industry it can be very confusing about where to get started.

Almost anyone who starts out in network marketing is told that there is no experience required to make a ton of money. Let me start by saying that this industry is no different than any other career field. When I say this I mean that it does not matter whether you are a network marketer, policeman, doctor or a cashier at the local convenience store. You have to have education and training to be good at whatever your chosen career path is.

Anyone who has had any kind of success making money on the internet will tell you two things. They never stop learning and researching ways to make their business better. Everyone has to start somewhere. The second thing they will tell you is that if you're in this industry just to make money you will probably fail.At this point your probably saying of course I want to make money the point I'm making is this what separates the people who succeed vs. the people who fail is this: People who succeed know that they have to want to help others and offer products that really benefit their customers.

If you joined an MLM or are just trying to go it on your own and are in it just to make a quick buck prospects will pickup on this quickly and will be turned off.

Because we live in the information age you can find anything you need to know at the click of a button. There are great how to E books out there but I can't stress enough the importance of having a teacher.

If you are looking for a teacher or mentor trust your instinct. If they are offering a lot of hype and little or no information about who they are or how they help people before you pay for their services than that's probably all it is just hype. The best teacher I ever had referred to himself like a librarian or tour guide. His information was straight forward.

In my opinion if you decide to join an MLM company you should make sure that they offer extensive training. There is nothing worse than to have to constantly refer to your up line for answers. Your prospects will not have confidence in you if you cant answer their questions. You need to be viewed as the expert not your up line. This is yet another reason why having someone to teach you the ropes is important.

While there are people out there who have made money by just using one MLM I believe its never a good idea to have just one source of income. When you find multiple ways to create income you are putting less pressure on yourself to make that sale.

Prospects will be a lot more likely to buy a product or service from you when you are relaxed. This is another good reason to find a teacher or mentor.
