Often you will find people who aren't really sure
of what networking is all about. Here is a quick 2
minute explanation you can use.
Why are we paid? We are paid in networking for
adding value to people's lives. Our products or
services can certainly can add value, improve the
quality of lives, save time and money for people
or simplify and make life better. But, providing a
financial opportunity that can create a lifestyle
for people that most only dream of is where
networking really shines, Thousands and thousands
of millionaires have been created in this industry
during the fifty years I have been a part of it.
I've heard we are paid for talking to people but
that's only partly true. We talk to people to find
those who will let us add value to their lives.
Each person we add to our marketing organization
should be a person who has strong feelings about
their financial future.
How are we paid? Really it is a very simple
concept. For example if you help me earn $1000
more each month than I had before I met you, If I
can do it with out loosing my job; without risking
my income. If I can do it at my own speed and
if you help me until I can do it myself. By
sponsoring me you help me know about the product
and most importantly how to market it. Then we
have a business relationship.
If I earn my $1,000 a month I certainly won't be
mad if the company gives you $200 for your effort
as long as it doesn't come out of my $1000. That's
a win-win business relationship.
Suppose you help 10 people do that. Now you have
10 people earning $1,000 a month, and the company
pays you $2000 a month.
Lets say I would like to earn $2000. like you are?
You tell me "Bill, I'm going to help you build a
marketing organization like I am doing." You help
me develop a marketing list and talk to a few
people.
Again, I won't be angry if the company pays you
$100 for the sales from the people I add to my
organization after all, they are paying me $200.
as well And that commission system can go
on for as many levels or generations as the
company's marketing plan is designed for.
You now have the basic philosophy of network
marketing. The short form that is real easy to
explain to people.
Instead of having 10 people work with you pick
your own number. How about training 100 people who
have the freedom to grow as fast as they want. The
compensation plan grows as fast as they grow. They
automatically push you up to a higher commission
level.
10 people who have 10 people who have 10 people
would give you a marketing organization of 1000
marketers. The inherent leverage here is, you are
only working with 10 people and receiving
commissions on the volume of 1000 people. Each of
them has the same opportunity as you do
The networking business is without a doubt the
best chance the average person has to create a
fortune. Here is the best part, this business is a
lot easier to operate today than it was 50
years ago when I first started.
