5 things to know when visiting Vegas

"What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas", heard that one before? However it is there are definitely some things you should know to have the best possible time for your money. In this article I am going to give away a few

usable tips to ease your stay in Vegas. Some of these techniques are more or less legal so use them at your own risk.

  1. Ask for free upgrades.

When checking in to your hotel, ask the front desk clerk if there are any room upgrades available. At many hotels they will eagerly upgrade you to a much better room free of charge. Remember to tip the clerk.

  1. Get a player's card.

Sign up for a free player's card at every casino you visit even if you don't gamble. The casinos will mail you offers for discounted or even free rooms on your next visit. Many times you get to have a room for $30-50 or free of charge.

  1. Ask for line pass.

After you have been playing for a while at the slotmachines, ask the slot club or pit boss for a "line pass." It will allow you to use the VIP line at a restaurant bypassing the regular line and plus it makes you feel "special." This one works all the time.

  1. Push the checkout time.

After a rough night at the casino it is no surprise if you're not ready to check out at 11AM. The casinos know this and a simple call to the front desk usually grants you a few extra hours to decide whether you stay for longer or not.

  1. Always sign up for the slot club or ask to be "rated" at the tables. The casinos love fresh meat and slotmachine players so they will give you free stuff. Getting a free room is not unusual at all.
