When buying a property in Cyprus please be sure you know which region would best suit your own lifestyle preferences before making your choice. Like me, you may even favour one of the villas in the sea cave area of Cyprus. That is my own idea of heaven!
However, if you are not that familiar with the island then taking maps of Cyprus together with a hire car (from one of the companies offering bargain car hire) can be an excellent way to get to know the island. Don’t forget to also take a handy detailed Cyprus street map whilst driving around the island as this will help you to ensure that you don’t miss out on finding your very own dream home! Incidentally, buying properties for sale in Cyprus has become even more popular since they became a full member of the European Community. In January 2008 Cyprus even adopted the Euro as its currency. This mans that EU Citizens (especially the British) are even more attracted to the idea of owning a Cyprus property as a home, to rent or as an investment.
The main population areas are Nicosia (the capital city) Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos, Ayia Napa and Protaras. You may wish to start your search at these more populated towns however it is less easy to find a reasonably cheap Cyprus property unless you look at out of town areas. If you are looking for something near a town that is very attractive but still cheap, studio apartments in Cyprus towns are stylish and an excellent option. However, if you plan to resell your property at a future date then our advice is to go for at least a 2 bedroom property in Cyprus. In villa or in bungalow properties a minimum of 2 bedrooms is a common feature anyway. As a Cyprus property is an investment, the more you invest now, the higher the return in years to come.
There is a very high demand for Cyprus properties and this demand is being met by a plethora of builders and developers all competing for your business. Some builders sell direct and some subcontract all the actual building work, so it is, as always, a case of buyer beware! - especially if you don’t know the builders and their reputations. However when you buy through Buy Sell Cyprus you can rest assured that you are dealing with the largest and best equipped registered estate agent on Cyprus. We are highly experienced and well equipped to handle all aspects of buying your dream home.
www.buyorsellcyprusproperty.com is a very useful and well designed web site to use when searching for your dream home in Cyprus. With over 20,000 Cyprus properties for sale, there is something for everyone across all budgets. The Sunday Times recently published that Cyprus was voted the best place for British people to retire to.
