Vitamins and minerals are needed for growth and good health. The vitamins and minerals you need are found in the food you eat. It's important to eat a balanced diet that includes fruits and vegetables. Some food is enriched. This means that vitamins or minerals were added. For example, bread and milk are enriched.

All natural vitamins are organic food substances found only in living things, that is, plants and animals. With few exceptions, the body cannot manufacture or synthesize vitamins. They must be supplied by the diet or in dietary supplements. Vitamins are essential to the normal functioning of our bodies. They are necessary for growth, vitality, health, general well being, and for the prevention and cure of many health problems and diseases.

Vitamins are necessary to defend our bodies against illness and for building and maintaining our organs and tissues. There are four reasons people with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) have extra vitamin needs. First, dialysis cleans blood by removing waste and excess fluid. Along with removing waste, the process of dialyzing the blood also removes important vitamins. Second, people with ESRD need extra protection against heart disease, hemodialysis access damage, and anemia.

The best source of vitamins is fresh home-cooked meals. They are the tastiest and healthiest for your dog, but essential micronutrients may not always be readily available or could be destroyed during the cooking process. Mild deficiencies may not be noticed for some time. By supplementing your dog’s diet with vitamins and minerals, you will have confidence that it will get these vital nutrients in order to have healthy, happy long life.

Vitamins are compounds found in certain food which are vital to our health and longevity. Our body needs them for growth, function, energy, tissue repair and waste removal. There are two categories of vitamins: water-soluble and fat-soluble vitamins. Water-soluble vitamins, such as vitamins B and C, need to be included in our daily diet as our body does not store any excess of these vitamins.

Helps in building resistance against common infections. Vitamin C is used in treatment of scurvy (outcome of severe vitamin C deficiency), anemia, common colds, asthma, cancer, and hardening of the arteries. Sufficient intake of vitamin C is necessary for expectant mothers since clinical scurvy is still occasionally found in infants.

Proper food consumption should be accompanied by the right vitamins and minerals. Vitamins serve as buffers in the event that your diet does not meet your daily requirements fully. Surely you can't calculate how much vitamins and minerals your body takes in with every meal you consume. And while most people take vitamins to avoid common deficiency-related diseases, not all products available cater to what your body requires. There are those that still lack what you need.
