Instead using a cleansing lotion and toner instead. Simply apply the cleanser to some cotton wool and then wipe your face and neck. This will help to cleanse your skin and remove any dirt and grime. Then finish off with a toner, to make your skin feel fresh.
Wearing makeup can be problematic if you have oily skin and the best thing that you can do is to actually not wear any make up. If make up is needed you should avoid make up products that are oil based and choose items that are water based instead. But before you do apply any make up it is important to make sure that your skin is clean, and always remember to remove any make up before you go to bed.
Another simple trick that you can easily action if you have oily skin, is to use clean tissues to blot away any excess oil that builds up during the day. This will keep the skin looking fresh and also help prevent the skin from attracting any dirt and bacteria.
As well as the creams and lotions that you can buy you also need to find time to relax as there is a direct link between stress levels and having oily skin. Stress causes the release of a hormone called androgens, and these cause the sebaceous glands to become even more active when stressed. So it is important to find time to relax and this can be done by taking a quick walk or trying yoga.
