When decorating your beach wedding reception, you want to have the most innovative, most unique beach wedding centerpieces available. While buying them outright might not be in your budget, you can easily craft unique beach wedding centerpieces on your own to give your reception a beautiful look and feel that is all your own.

Sandcastles

A great – and cheap – unique beach wedding centerpiece is a sandcastle. It’s really very simple to do. Just purchase a sand castle mold, which is often available at children’s toy stores, and bamboo (or another coordinating style) placemats. Dig up some nice, wet sand a few hours before your reception and pack it into the mold. Dump it upside down on the placemat after it has been placed on the table, throw a few fresh tropical flowers and some nice, faux pearls and you’ve got a completely unique beach wedding centerpiece!

Seashell Bouquet

Many beach brides incorporate seashells into their beach wedding centerpieces, but very few of them have seashell bouquets! Grab a bag of seashells from your local craft store, along with a traditional bouquet ball and stem used for silk flower bouquets. Use hot glue to glue in the seashells, creating a beautiful seashell bouquet. You can also incorporate tropical silk flowers into the bouquet as well for a special touch. Place each bouquet in an inexpensive vase to create an elegant, one of a kind look and feel.

Treasure Chests

Find a party supply or craft store that offers empty treasure chests. Fill with chocolates, candies and small favors before tossing on a few faux pearl strands and water jewels. Chocolate gold coins are great for this project! Your guests will really enjoy going through the treasure chest to pick out candies and favors for themselves!

Conch Shell Vases

Large conch shells are one of the most gorgeous items you can find at the beach. Anyone who finds a conch shell themselves will keep it for years to come! Bring that fun and excitement to your beach wedding centerpieces by purchasing several large conch shells and using them as vases at your reception tables. A sprig of orchids – silk or real – look fabulous when arranged to spurt out of the small end of the shell, or you can use more traditional tropical flowers and cut them short so they’re arranged in the lip of the shell. Use your imagination!

When searching for ideas for your beach wedding centerpieces, simply keep an open mind. Everywhere you look, you can find inspiration to help you create unique and beautiful beach wedding reception centerpieces that just ooze your personality and tastes. While many beach wedding centerpieces that are available for sale online or in stores are excellent choices for your reception, you can often save quite a bit of money and have a more unique centerpiece if you combine your ideas and fashion a beach wedding centerpiece yourself! With a little time and effort, you and your bridesmaids can create beautiful, one of a kind wedding centerpieces that will only be seen at your wedding!
