Business cards come from way back in the past and are still as popular as ever. They are small and compact with no fuss but can carry all the information you need about your business. You can print your business name and logo, as well as the physical address of your premises and contact numbers on the card and you will have a good advertisement for your business.

The cards can be made at home on your home computer at very little cost to you. You can do the designing yourself and you will feel proud of the end result. The distribution is the most important part of the exercise and should be done systematically every day, so that you cover the local area where your business is situated.

There are various ways of enhancing your business cards and making them more user friendly. It could work well to magnetise the cards by pasting a small magnet at the back of the card. These magnets are available from most craft shops and you could do the pasting yourself to save costs.

Very few people actually throw magnetized cards away. They seem to have some added value now, and they are taken home to be put on the fridge. Most people leave them there for a long time. During this period they will constantly see your company’s name and will become familiar with it, should they require your product or service they will contact you to do business with you.

Never leave home without your business cards. They should always be with you so that should you meet someone you want to introduce your business to you can hand them a card. It is a good idea to network with your cards wherever you go where there are a lot of people. Industrial and commercial shows are the ideal places to do this.

You hand out your cards and receive the exhibitors in return. You can build up a whole directory of people that could be of service to you in the future. The receivers of your cards are in the same position and will hopefully become your future customers. See everyone you meet as a potential good customer.
