Your wedding day is fast approaching and you would like to lose a few pounds so that you can look your absolute best in your wedding dress. With so much to plan and do for the wedding how do you find the time to lose weight for the wedding? Here are some simple steps you can take to help you lose weight for your wedding.
The first step you need to take to lose weight for the wedding is to set realistic goals. Most weight loss experts suggest that a realistic amount of weight to lose per week is one to two pounds. So don't set an unrealistic goal of losing 20 pounds in two weeks. Instead focus on losing a few pounds per week and toning your body through weight training. Making changes to your diet and establishing an exercise routine will do wonders not only for your appearance but your energy level and overall health as well.
The second thing you should do to lose weight for the wedding is to vow not to skip meals and get plenty of sleep. With so much to do and coordinate for your wedding you are going to be tempted to take shortcuts. If you want to look and feel great on your special day you need to take care of you. Skipping meals or eating fast food and other unhealthy junk foods will work against your weight loss goals. Depriving yourself of sleep will leave you tired and drained. So be sure to focus on eating healthy and getting plenty of sleep.
Step three to lose weight for the wedding is to eat healthy meals. Cut out junk foods and fast foods and replace with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, lean cuts of meat and starchy carbohydrates. You should eat five to six small portions a day instead of the traditional three. Be sure to drink plenty of water as well.
Step four to lose weight for the wedding is to come up with a realistic exercise plan. You should combine aerobic exercise with resistance (weight) training. Come up with a plan to exercise approximately a half an hour per day or 3-4 hours per week. You might feel you don't have time with so much to do for the wedding, but your time exercising will not only make you look great on your wedding day but will give you the extra energy you will need to get everything done for the wedding.
Remember the key to losing weight is to burn more calories than you take in. If you focus on eating healthy meals, drinking plenty of water, and getting enough rest and exercise you can lose weight for the wedding and look fantastic in your wedding dress.
