Focus on your health and feel good about yourself and make wise food choices when you get on to weight loss diets to reach your body ideal.
A large part of the success of your weight loss diets depends on the way you view yourself when you start out to reach your ideal weight. If you look at the issue of weight loss as just another thing you have to do without adding thoughts that demean you in any way, you will be able to make intelligent decisions, plan well and achieve your weight targets that will enable good health well into the future.
Calorie counting
Calories are an essential part of all that you consume with the exception of water. Intelligent calorie counting involves the following steps. First, identify the necessary calories required for maintaining the body, secondly, work out an intake plan that considering the calorie value of the meals, and thirdly, allow for a weekly intake that provides for consumption of your favorite snack item. In the absence of this type of planning, unwise actions are likely to follow. A pastry that has a calorie value of 270 may be chosen in place of a whole grain sandwich of the same value. This is dangerous because it deprives the body of the nourishment that is necessary and adds to the tendency of unhealthy eating habits while on weight loss diets. The long term effects of this type of action are weakened painful joints, poor digestion and liver disorders, reduced mental capacity and concentration, depression and suicidal tendencies.
Binge eating
When you start out on weight loss diets with a low sense of self-esteem you will find yourself on a path of immediate sense gratification. When the body is deprived of its nourishment, it gives signals that can be confusing. A hungry person will eat salty fried foods when the body is actually demanding salt. Instead of eating a healthy meal, you might get attracted to French fries or wafers. When you need glucose from healthy carbohydrate filled foods, you are likely to choose biscuits that are fat filled and difficult to digest. You are likely to over-eat these poor nutrition choices since they do not provide a feeling of satiety. This poor eating leads to weight gain and leads to the individual into a downward health spiral. It is necessary that you believe in your capability and have a high sense of confidence when you choose weight loss diets.
Exercise
Weight loss diets must go in hand with exercise in order to be effective. Exercise allows the excess fat to break down and convert to muscle. It also keeps your spirits high and allows a positive feeling towards the effort you are putting into reducing weight. Alternate days should see different muscle sets being exercised. Make sure to take a day off from exercise every week so that your entire body is able to restore itself. A rest day involves no extra activity and involves longer meditation sessions. Give yourself a full body massage with medicated oil to tone up your muscles and have a long warm water bath. Follow this with a good night’s rest.
