"Within you right now is the power to do things you never dreamed possible. This power becomes available to you just as soon as you can change your beliefs."
Dr. Maxwell Maltz 1899-1975, Author
"We don't see things as they are-- We see things as we are."
Anais Nin
"A belief is not an idea held by the mind-- it is an idea that holds the mind."

Years ago, as I read the "Seth Material" by Jane Roberts, Seth, the channeled entity who spoke through Jane, advised readers to change limiting beliefs in order to create a more expansive reality in this lifetime.
I remember my family and friends discussing our various beliefs and how to change our reality for the better.
We had discussion groups and explored beliefs, dreams and responsibility.
We called one another on the phone to discuss our daily challenges with these concepts.
And I look back on these moments of connection as a great awakening.
Nowadays, I am reflecting on ways to take what we did back in the 1970's to a new level of achievement.
In order to purge destructive core negative beliefs, they must first be recognized, blessed and released.
Limiting beliefs about money is a great place to begin.
Money is energy and likes it if we like it, just like everything and everyone else in the universe.
Mandy Evans has collected some classic negative beliefs about money, as presented in Dr. Joe Vitale's "The greatest Money Making Secret Of All Time."
-
Money is the root of all evil. (The actual quote is: "the love of money is the root of all evil.")
-
If I am successful, people will hate me.
-
If I make a million dollars, I might lose it, and then I would feel stupid and hate myself forever.
-
There isn't enough money to go around.
-
If I have a little more than enough to get by, someone else will go without.
-
If I have alot more than I need to get by, lots of people will have to go without.
-
It is better to take less, than be resonsible for someone else's hardship.
-
Democrats punish the rich.
-
Republicans punish the poor.
-
If I make alot of money, I would be betraying my father, who never made much money.
-
The rich get richer.
-
The poor get poorer.
-
I am smart and talented, I should get more.
-
You should always use money well.
-
Money is hard to deal with.
-
Money is hard to get.
-
You have to work hard to get money.
-
To save money, you have to do without things.
-
Time is money.
-
I can't have money and free time.
-
Money is not spiritual.
-
You have to do lots of things you do not like in order to have money.
-
I do not have enough to share or give away.
-
Accepting money obligates me.
-
It is better to take less than my due and be free from sticky situations.
-
To be a valuable person, I have to work more for less money than other people do.
-
Having money stops you from being happy.
-
Having money complicates your life.
-
Money spoils you.
-
I will never have enough.
-
It is best if I just want enough to get by.
-
You get what you deserve.
-
Being super-conscious about every single penny is the good-- the right thing--to do.
-
Never buy anything you don't need.
-
If you were a smart woman, you would be supporting yourself easily right now.
-
I always rent; owning a house would be too scary.
-
I would never be secure if I had to be responsible for more than a hammock.
-
I have to own my own home to feel secure--unless I had at least a yacht.
-
Worrying about money is tacky.
-
Daddy will like me better if I don't spend too much.
-
I want to have alot of money when I grow old, so that people will be nice to me.
-
I never want people to know I have so much money because people are really mean to rich people.
-
If I get paid alot, people will think I am a fraud.
-
Everybody wants more; when it comes to money, less is better.
-
There's someone else in side me that spends all my money.
Money is a great place to explore limiting core beliefs because it has button pushing potential.
People really believe the above (and more) statements, and see these as absolute reality, instead as beliefs. When seen for what they are, these beliefs can be changed.
You will be liberated, as a result.
