Hydrogen is the most abundant source of fuel on the planet. It's a primary component in water, and burns clean. You can harness hydrogen electrolysis to improve the mileage of your vehicle. Using a simple hydrogen conversion kit, you can increase your mileage by 20% to 40%.
Water is hydrogen and oxygen. Electrolysis is the process used to split water into hydrogen and oxygen using electricity. Once the hydrogen has been produced, you inject it into the intake manifold of your vehicle, and it bonds to the gasoline that burns in your engine. This causes the gasoline to burn more efficiently, as well as burning the hydrogen that was injected into the process.
When hydrogen burns, it produces water. This means adding hydrogen to your engine will not increase your emissions. Since hydrogen causes gasoline to burn more efficiently, you should actually see lower vehicle emissions by introducing hydrogen into the mix. Plain gasoline does not burn completely, it leaves small residues of carbon on the engine. Gasoline with hydrogen will lead to reduced amounts of carbon, both in the engine as well as in terms of emissions.
A hydrogen conversion kit will not replace the gasoline you use currently. It's an additional fuel that can help your vehicle run cleaner and more efficiently. Hydrogen is hard to store, which is why most hydrogen conversion kits produce hydrogen on demand. It uses a water reservoir and electricity produced by your vehicle to split hydrogen and oxygen from the water.
Like many, I was skeptical that the technology would work. A mechanic friend of mine helped me install the first conversion kit into my vehicle. The process was easier than I thought it would be, and it actually gave me a 27% increase in gas mileage. After running it for a few months, I installed conversion kits into all my vehicles, and have seen at least a 20% reduction in my monthly gas bills.
Many plans exist that show you how to build a hydrogen conversion kit. Most are based on the same technology, and will give you an improvement in your gas mileage. There are a few that are not legit, and it's important to research what works and what does not. Be wary of any system that claims more than a 40% improvement in mileage, it's probably a scam. Realistically 20-40% increases are attainable, any claims higher than that are simply too good to be true.
The basic kit will include plans for a hydrogen on demand generator, as well as part numbers for pieces you will need to install. Fuel injected vehicles will need additional parts to correct the settings your vehicle's computer uses to determine the gas to air ratio in your engine. Without these, the hydrogen generator will not be as efficient as it should be, and you will not see as much improvement.
Having used these hydrogen conversion kits in all my vehicles, I'm very happy with the difference in my fuel costs. They take a few hours to build and install once you have all the parts, and are well worth the time spent. If you are not mechanically inclined you'll have to pay a mechanic to install the kit for you, but the fuel savings are worth the price. These conversion kits actually work, and that's why I use and recommend them to anyone looking to improve their gas mileage.
