Are you looking for a home cure for hemorrhoids? There are a number of natural cures available that can help relive the pain of hemorrhoids. One of the benefits of using a home cure is that you don’t have to deal with medicated products. Also, you don’t have to visit your doctor and you can also save time and money. Chances are you already have the ingredients you will need in your house.
One of the most significant ways to cure hemorrhoids is through weight loss. Besides losing weight it is also a good idea to increase your fiber intake by adding more fruits and vegetables to your eating. The more fiber you take in the easier your bowel movements will be and therefore less pain. Eating more fruits and vegetables help to prevent constipation and other symptoms. Dried fruits like prunes and raises are often used to help soften the stool. Drinking lots of water is a great idea too as it helps to hydrate the colon. You will want to give your bowels some rest to improve your symptoms.
Taking a warm bath or a sitz bath is a great way to relive some of the symptoms of hemorrhoids. Also applying ice to the area can help to shrink the hemorrhoid.
Some other home cures for hemorrhoids include taking natural herbs. Two of the best natural herbs include Witch Hazel and Butcher’s Broom. These herbs help to relieve swelling.
When going to the bathroom, it is a good idea to use a moistened piece of toilet paper as using dry toilet paper can cause more discomfort because it can irritate the area. Using non-scented baby oil or liquid hand soap and water on the toilet paper is another option. It may be a good idea to not use purchased pre-moistened wipes as the alcohol and other chemicals in the product might irritate the hemorrhoids. If you do end up using store bought wipes make sure they are dye and perfume free as these ingredients can irritate the area. There are some natural wipes on the market that have added herbs that can help to soothe the area.
It has been estimated that at least 75% of North Americans suffer from hemorrhoids at least once in their life time. This problem affects people of all ages with most people being affected between the age of 45 and 65.
