Tru Chocolate is a network marketing company that offers, not only organic and healthy chocolate, but also an opportunity to grow your own Tru Chocolate business. This can be a great opportunity, and you can succeed if you learn how to do it right, but unfortunately you will not learn this from the company. They tell you to use techniques that have been proven wrong by 95-97 % of the people that joins Tru Chocolate, and any other network marketing company for that matter.

So what is it that they tell you? They tell you to write a list of all the people you know, then you should give out free samples, talk to friends and family, hand out business cards and flyers, go to home meetings and all that stuff. And then they tell you that your prospects is EVERYONE! Now THAT is so far from the truth, and every other industry knows that. Furthermore there isn't any other industry that uses the techniques the network marketing industry is using, and why is that? Well, it really makes good sense, because of the VERY high failure rate in the network marketing industry.

In order to ever grow your Tru Chocolate business, you have to know how to properly prospect. Marketing is really all about knowing your audience. It has NEVER been about trying to convince people that what you have to offer is SO fantastic. To illustrate what I'm trying to say I've made this example:

Picture this: One of your friends walks up to you with a bottle in his hand saying "MAN this juice is the BEST juice ever - not only does it taste FANTASTIC it also gives me SO much energy, you should really buy some bottles!" Your friend is very exited about it, so it must be a great juice, and therefore you answer "Okay, I will certainly think about it." But this answer isn't good enough for your friend and he says "There is NOTHING to think about this is the most awesome juice ever, and you can't get it anywhere else, you have to buy it RIGHT NOW, just sign here." I would certainly not be the least interested, even though I was a minute ago, and I belief this is how most would feel.

Now picture this: another friend of yours comes to you with a similar bottle in his hand, saying "Man, this juice is really great, it really tastes fantastic and it gives me so much more energy." You will most likely begin asking questions as where he got that juice, how much it costs, and other buying questions. Your friends answers all your questions and before he walks away he says "This juice has really help me, if you want some, let me know, I really recommend it."

Now take a look at the example above and take a moment and think, who of those two friends would you rather be? The second friend, right? Well, I believe this would be most people's answer, and it makes good sense. What doesn't make any sense is, that Tru Chocolate, and other network marketing companies, tell you to be the first friend. See why so many aren't succeeding?

With that being said - it IS possible to succeed! You just have to know your audience, your target market and then ONLY spend time on people who already have an interest in healthy chocolate. This way you will just fulfil needs that people already have. This way, growing your Tru Chocolate business will be much more fun. The moment you recognize that doing what the company tells you is wrong and you take the time to learn how to get targeted leads, you WILL be on your way to success with your Tru Chocolate business.
