I believe here in Philippines most people who are graduates of medical courses wanted to be part of the medical team. For instance, like medical transcriptionist or any department of medical aspects. Why I wanted on this job is like I am dealing with patient diagnosis thru physician. It is like we have team up with the doctors. I like this job it's like new to me and it's a challenge what I want to face and I have been dreaming to be a medical transcriptionist consultant someday. There is significant story behind why I wanted to joint this job. Because I was then frustrated to become a doctor the fact that I was enrolled in business courses and proceed to bachelor of laws. But then few years after I studied nursing maybe this will help me back to which I wanted. I am under board for now in nursing. Maybe in this field I can pursue my dreams to be a transcriber which involves converting or transcribing voice recorded reports of physicians into text format.

The advantages in working medical transcription jobs are that I could encounter a lot of medical terminologies which is so encouraging and knowledgeable advantage for me because I am a medical student. I could practice also my nursing education by encountering different sickness and diagnosis of a patient. It may all sound encouraging and easy for me because I have my own time at home. I have been stock in the web all the time I have this flexibility hours. I was then practicing designing before like doing designs of Photoshop and web designs though it is not productive because I am not earning out of it. So I decided to choose another option which will give me benefits like transcribing wherein, somehow I can help physician transcribe. I can assure you I have all the time in transcribing for this moments one thing because I am jobless and I have 2 laptop and one desktop wherein I make most of the time in net.

First and foremost, it is very essential that an online medical transcriptionist is knowledgeable of the medical terminologies. The medical language is very complex and encompasses the different branches of medical science. The MT is a medical language specialist in that sense. The medical transcriber must understand the form of the medical language and how it is used in medical data. This language also includes Greek and Latin suffixes, prefixes, and roots biological science, including anatomy and physiology of all body systems and various disease processes, medical science, medical and surgical procedures, involving thousands of instruments, supplies, appliances, and prosthetic devices, pharmacology, laboratory values, correlating laboratory test results with a patient's diagnosis and treatment, use of medical reference materials and research techniques. Apart from these, a medical transcriber needs to have good communication (written and verbal) which is very essentials on me that will help me a lot in building my communications. What I like on MT is that I am more familiar in medical field most especially on doing a SOAPIE (subjective, objective, assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation). Which we are doing too. In nursing profession we do all this though some of physician word are familiar with me. It will really help me a lot it's a gift benefits on my side to be part of this institution that will help build my English grammar as well.

Being a medical transcriptionist is a lot of hard work. It will entail a lot from you. You will be like machine but with feelings. You will become an assistant, a medical technician, a medical technologist, a records keeper and administer a worker and an assistant all at the same time.

A medical transcriptionist transcribes dictated recordings made by physicians and other health care professionals into documented form. These documented forms are the following: discharge summaries, medical history and physical examination reports, operative reports, autopsy reports and others I would like to see myself achieve in the MT industry in the next few years, or more that I will become an institution and to become a consultant and to have an MT education which able to help students those who wanted to become MT like me. I wanted to help future MT to become a proficient well transcriber because all patients will depend on the accuracy of that documents which you transcribe.

Therefore, the MT should never guess or assume details as the medical record is also considered a legal document. If the MT allows himself to type in false data, it may lead to a wrong diagnosis and medication.
