Diabetes mellitus, simply diabetes, is a very old disease and millions all over the world suffer from it. Though there are variations in the symptoms and nature of this disease, its common features is the excessive sugar in the blood and its passing out with the urine of the patients.
Remember that you have control over your diabetes and maintaining a healthy diet and exercise program will keep your blood sugar levels at a healthy level. You do not have to feel like just because you have this disease that there is no hope for you because this is not true. Many people live long , healthy and happy lives once they have found what works best for them and controlling their blood sugar levels.
Cinnamon has been a very popular remedy for many sufferers. Perhaps the most popular remedy, cinnamon has been shown to help better metabolize glucose and help regulate blood sugar levels.
Water is another way you can flush your body. We recommend drinking at least 10-12 glasses of water every day. This will keep your body flushed and keep your cells healthier. Make sure you are drinking water throughout the day and not drinking a lot in a little time.
Bitter Guord - Make a watery juice of a small Bitter Guord (remove seeds) and drink every morning. Bitter Guord also helps to clear pimples and maintain a good skin, and is good for de-worming the intestines.
To control the diabetes, curry leaves are also used widely. Chewing of 9-10 curry leaves with an empty stomach is quite beneficial. It mainly drops the sugar level back to normal in urine and blood.
Apple cider vinegar has often been labeled the king of remedies and it also works for diabetes. Apple cider vinegar is loaded with numerous essential vitamins and minerals which help regulate blood sugar. Before every large meal you should mix 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with a glass of water and drink up.
Fu-Qua or Bitter Melon: One of most wisely used natural remedies for diabetics, fu-qua seems to lower blood glucose level. Generally, it is in many herbal formulas and consider safe, fu-qua does have some drawback. Pregnant women and children should check with your doctor before taking fu=qua supplements.
Alfalfa which is also rich in vitamins and minerals has also been shown to regulate blood sugar levels. This remedy has been used in Eastern medicine since the 6th century and has also been found to be beneficial for diabetes.
A flaxseed oil supplement is also essential for curing diabetes and helping with better overall health. You should take a daily vitamin and flaxseed oil supplement. Flaxseed oil is a great source of omega 9 and omega 3 essential fatty acids which are required for cellular repairing. And cellular repairing is what will eventually allow all cells to accept insulin.
Avoid infections, burns and injuries as they develop ketosis in such stressful conditions.
Avoid drinking alcohol (including beer, gin, wines and whisky).
Avoid exertion and always try to stay free from tension.
