Allen Berube maybe the first one to be eliminated on The Ultimate Fighter 5 but he certainly proves that he has what it takes to linger on the fighting scene. In an exclusive interview with Buddytv, he shared his sentiments about his journey and experience on Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC).
Berube, a 32-year old mixed martial artist, is a native of Biddlefor, Maine.
He attended Biddleford High School where he first got exposed to wrestling.
Eventually, he established his own seafood restaurant chain, which he called "Monstah Lobstah" in Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg. Specializing in jiu-jitsu, he professionally penetrated UFC initially to promote his restaurant business as he proclaimed himself as the "Crustacean Sensation."
Although a bit hesitant to dive into Ultimate Fighter 5, he still tried out the competitive mixed martial arts fighting scene. And despite being a novice in the field, he was able to successfully penetrate UFC. In fact, he expressed his amazement and gratitude to be able to be part UFC, mingling with and being taught by the some of the best trainers in the world. Among the other fighters, he strongly admires Nate Diaz for his fierce presence, Joe Lauzon for his invigorating energy, as well as his unpredictable skills.
He also feels lucky at this point of his life since he was able to go so far with only eight months of fighting experience. This also proves that he has a lot of potential to make it far in UFC despite losing to Cole "Magrinho"
Miller, a mixed martial arts fighter from Augusta, Georgia. He is focused at honing his budding fighting skills and is determined to stick around as much as he can. At present, he looks forward to be part of Ultimate Fight Night, which is scheduled on June 23, 2007.
