With the aim of providing comprehensive conventional and alternative treatments for horses and small animals Drs. Mark and Tina Aiken constructed their practice premises on their farm in Ancramdale, Columbia County, New York in 2005 and named it Kilshannagh Veterinary Clinic. Prior to 2005, both Drs. Mark and Tina spent several years in large, multi-doctor veterinary clinics in Great Britain, Germany and the United States. Their years of cumulative experiences in different practice environments, treating horses and small animals, led them gradually to the belief that high quality veterinary medicine, embracing both conventional and alternative approaches, could be successfully provided in a smaller practice setting, combining quality, responsiveness and accessibility.
