After cleaning the lens, it should be soaked in the solution for the whole night. This solution will remove the protein layers deposited on the lens and also make it lubricated. Lubricating a contact is very necessary as a dry lens does not freely in the human eye and also causes irritation.
Contact lenses are usually very delicate; a single scratch can damage it permanently. The person cleaning the lens should be very careful and steady.
