It is important to have a body care routine. When body care products are not used on a regular basis, they are ineffective. Nobody can expect smooth skin from a single day of moisturizing. It takes several days to witness results. In order to maintain that same level, it must be performed routinely. This may seem like a lot of work, but when someone gets into a regular body care regimen, she can manage to do it all in mere minutes!
Organic body care has been practiced by humans since ancient times. All natural substances have wonderful healing properties when applied topically to the skin. But not all natural ingredients are created equal.
It is now a well-established scientific fact that continued exposure to a wide range of synthetic chemicals leads to detectable accumulations in body tissue. These chemicals include hormones, preservatives, pesticides, artificial fertilizers and antibiotics - the list is extensive. Many of these chemicals enter our bodies from the foods that we eat, particularly if that food has been mass-produced.
It used to be thought that our skin was impervious and that no chemical substances could penetrate it and enter the body. This is now known not to be the case and skin patches containing nicotine and hormones are routinely used as an effective means of delivering these drugs into the body. It's not just medicines that can be absorbed - it is estimated that up to 60% of any chemical that comes into contact with the skin may be absorbed into our bodies.
Organic means the product has been grown and harvested without synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. Usually they're grown in relatively small batches since large scale organic farming is pretty rare at this time. Organic takes more "hands on" time.
Organic natural body care products only contain all-natural ingredients. All-natural ingredients, without a doubt, are the best ingredients you can use on your skin.
Natural ingredients produce natural results. In the long-run, taking care of your body naturally with an organic natural body care product will insure long-term health. It's the chemicals, toxins, and carcinogens that pose a threat to your health.
In order to assure you get yourself a reliable and effective organic natural body care product, you should look for at least 3 major things. The first is an ingredient that stimulates collagen and elastin production inside your skin. Collagen and elastin break down after you turn 25 years old and is what keeps your skin firm and elastic.
The best body care lotions will also be made with all natural and organic ingredients. Some of these substances have amazing anti-aging benefits for the skin. And since they are very similar to your skin's natural oils, they are accepted very well and are very unlikely to cause any negative reactions or side effects like many synthetic ingredients can.
Many skin care products and cosmetics contain various forms of alcohol. Two basic forms are petroleum based and natural plant based. Petroleum based alcohol products are drying to the skin, though the immediate feel is moisturization, and have been known to contribute to many other adverse effects including brown spots, premature aging, and cancer! Stearyl and cetearyl alcohol are safe waxy plant derivatives.
