Mind Set

Leave all the negative energy at the door. There is no way youre going to shed pounds if you don't have an open mind and a positive attitude. As the old saying goes (and its true) crap in crap out!

Research

The 1st thing you want to do is look into training programs and gyms around your local area. Most of the time gyms have a free membership (not all but some). So it's best to check those gyms out and see if it’s a place that feels good for you. A good % of the time these gyms have trainers in them (they charge) and or they have free material on weight loss programs/routines.

You can always pick up a phone book or search online for local trainers. It’ can be a bit pricey but if you are dedicated and willing to do the work/follow your trainers directions it's worth it in the end.

Basic Exercises

Now let’s get right to the meat and potatoes of what exercises you'll need to do. Assume you've found a free gym where you feel comfortable working out in (and you don't have a trainer).

Work on your cardio 2-3 times a week for at least 30 minutes

Run/job on the treadmill

Jump Rope

Incline walking 45 minutes

Weight lifting- You want to do this 2-3 times a week as well. Just a light workout will do you well if you're trying to shed pounds. Building muscle requires a bit more than a light workout but that's another beast in itself. We are here to lose weight and slow get back into shape without killing ourselves.

Supplements

You can also research a number of diet supplements. Most which can be found over the counter I do suggest that you consult a doctor before taking anything over the counter just to make sure its safe. Some popular supplements include but not limited too:

• Hoodia

• Green Tea

• Acia berry

• Carb Blockers

Another option is to go on a liquid diet. Now this might be hard for some too do but I can tell you it works very well especially if it’s followed and there is no cheating involved. That's where most people fail when trying to lose weight. They get on a program and do one or all of the following:

Give up

Fail to stick with diet

Skip days

DON’T TRY

They basically fail to be consistent with the plan and claim the products or trainer failed then.

Be comfortable

Be sure to pick a diet that you can follow. If you have to start slow (baby steps) then work your way up that’s fine. I have a friend that was 5'6 and just over 300lbs and he decided he was going to work out everyday. His workout consisted of walking around the block 5 times every morning. A lot of people frowned upon his method "walking" but the truth is even though his choice of exercise was basic and to some not even considered an exercise it did yield results. Long story short he lost 75lbs in 4 months.

Last but not least don’t give up!
