London and Brussels are two most important cities of Western Europe. While London is the capital city of England and is known for its diverse culture and scenic beauty, Brussels serves as the capital of Belgium and known for its diplomatic value. London is a place is known for museums, art galleries, shopping malls, and Oxford University etc. On the other hand Brussels has the headquarters of important organizations such as EU and NATO.
Every day lots of people visit between London to Brussels. There are many travel options that can be used while commuting between these two cities. Here is a short comparison of all travel options between London and Brussels so that you can decide what is best.
Flights:
Flights are best and most comfortable way of transport. You can take a flight from London to Brussels for as low as £45.99 although normal cost ranges somewhere between £75 and £130. There are many airline companies such as British Airways, Brussels Airlines, Blue Air, British Midland airways etc. that provide flight services between these two cities. It takes around 1 hr 15 min in the journey.
Ferry:
Travelling by Ferry is another option. This one is little tricky. All you have to do is to reach Dover port in London where you can take a ferry to Dunkerque. After reaching Dunkerque you have to travel by Bus or Car to reach Brussels. Ferry charges are somewhere around £25 to £30 and time taken in the journey is around 4 hr. This all seems very time taking, but if you want to experience the excitement to travel by sea and you have lots of time, then go ahead and take a ferry.
Eurostar:
Eurostar has made a special mark in travel sector of London-Paris and London-Brussels route. The cheap eurostar tickets available from £59 to £69 for a return ticket (standard class) sounds pretty good for the comfort and speed Eurostar provides.
