The pretty and appealing town of Denia is situated on the northern tip of the Costa Blanca and is a perfect place to spend vacations. This old town dates back to the Fourth Century B.C. and has been named after the Roman goddess Diana. This charming town is situated between the green mountains and long stretch of sandy beaches making it even more attractive and ideal for those holidaying here. The awe-inspiring panorama of the place receives benefits of mild winter and hot summers with 320 days of sunshine.
Getting to Denia is not a major problem as the town is situated between two major airports of Alicante and Valencia. Both the airports are about 1.5 hours from the town but if you want to experience the picturesque scenery and local spots then you should consider renting a car. You can also try the superfast ferries that make daily trips from Ibiza to Denia and Denia to Palma de Mallorca or vice versa. Sailing time is not more than two hours for a single way trip.
The town of Denia has a number of villas that you can consider renting. These Villas can easily accommodate large number of people, if you party is too big. Denia Villas are just perfect to spend holidays with family as it can cater to the required privacy and luxury, without being too expensive. Most of the services such as laundry, house-maid, Cook etc. are available to make your holiday into a more relaxing and a memorable experience.
The Marina and the Yacht club of Denia have the excellent reputation and are known as one of the leading Mediterranean’s yachting capitals. Quite walks around the town’s old quarters and discovering authentic Moorish-Spanish atmosphere can be an unforgettable experience. The charming cobbled streets, fishermen's waters, a daily fresh fish market and the whitewashed buildings are worth having a look at. The center of the town has a pedestrian area where one can do some window shopping and take advantage of some exclusive boutiques. The tree-lined avenue of the main shopping street has a plenty of cafés and restaurants.
Denia beaches are an absolute contrast to the beaches of southern Spain. The best is Las marinas which is along sandy beach with major entities that one can need for having a relaxing holiday under the sun. Las Rotas towards the south has a different terrain with rocky beaches and wonderful coaves. Snorkeling and scuba diving can be popular pastimes here.
